As I was reading this book I was experimenting with energetic monochromes in oil again. I have been putting a triple base coat of phosphorescent acrylic then another coating of clear gesso before the oil which causes the paintings to glow in the dark for a while after lights go out. Windy nights? At first you can see I used very little gel. Later paintings have a glistening impasto finish behind the “wind”

By the way, the book was awesome. I really enjoyed it!
